NEVER judge someone
NEVER judge someone else before you take the time to know their story.
Not only are you likely to be completely wrong about someone, but you miss the opportunity to really find the value and depth of a person. You don’t know what’s behind a person’s actions, behaviors, beliefs, and values until you take the time to talk and listen to them tell their story. Give people the chance to show you who they are and make sure that you are listening attentively when they do. I promise you that if you don’t, you are missing the chance at really getting to know some of the most wonderful people this world has to offer.
So many times, greatness lies buried just beneath the surface, or possibly even buried beneath mountains of dirt and debris, but it’s there, and I believe that it can be uncovered and brought forth if you just take the time to dig for it. Everyone deserves the chance to be heard, to be known, and to be understood.
