P90X2: Week 7 Day 4 Shoulders and Arms and Ab Ripper 2
There I am, Powerblock in hand just after P90X2 Shoulders and Arms2. This was my third time doing this workout and I felt great this week! After the first few weeks I found the weight that worked just right for where I am and I was just at the point where I was struggling enough to really get some strain out of the muscles and feel the core engagements during the balances moves.
-I did all of the balance curls using 35s and went 14-12-10 in reps. Clearly my guns were feeling it and getting tired.
- The arnold presses I held at 40 pounds and went 12-12-12 which felt good. My balance was definitely better than last week when I ended at 40 lbs.
- Tricep extensions I stuck with 40s and went 12-12-12. I could probably go a little heavier but I was definitely feeling it at the end so that’s not a bad spot for me.
- 6 direction flys I went with 15s and 8-8-8. My shoulders are just on fire after this and I can’t seem to get past 8 yet so that’s definitely good for me for now.
- Crazy eights I stuck at 20s for 32-32-32 but I needed to take breaks so I’m not going any heavier than that until my endurance builds up on those.
- Y-T flys I went for 10s today, I usually use 5s and got to 8-8-8 but I initially had some trouble staying in place because my feet were slipping on the mats and I kept rolling backwards lol 10s are more than enough for these bad boys.
- Rocket launcher kick backs I went with 20s and hit 14-12-14, mainly because of the time allowed. I normally push 15s but decided to go up for this final day with this workout.
All in all, good workout for me, sweating bullets for sure. AB Ripper 2 in the bag as usual. I can hit every rep so now it’s just a matter of really focusing on getting the most out of each move every time I go back into AR2. Loving every day with this program!
