P90X2: Week 7 Day 7, Base and Back and Ab Ripper 2
The back is coming back in but I’ve still got a ways to go. Just wrapped up Base and Back for the third time. Felt good about the workout even though it had me creamed by the end. I was able to up all of my pull up sets in the first half and up about half of them for the second round. I upped my reps on the frog squat hops and the chair jumps and that contributed to me being wiped out for the second half. But, I was able to at the minimum match my reps from last week. I did feel much stronger going into the first set of pull ups though. Probably some help from the weight I’ve lost
I’m trying to get back those “back biceps” and you can see that they’re starting to make their way back. I’m getting close to a solid 10% body fat based on my calipers and my goal is to get to 6% at the lowest and ending up somewhere around 170 pounds. So far so good on that effort. Losing body fat and weight but still improving strength and muscle definition and mass. I am just loving P90X2 so far!
After tomorrow’s rest day, I’m heading into the second half of Phase 2 for my plan. I’ll be switching in the substitute workouts for Monday and Wednesday and continuing Phase 2 for another three weeks.
Who else is bringing it again with P90X2? I knew that this program was going to have a different focus and I’m really excited to see where Phase 3 brings the program for it’s conclusion. I could definitely see myself continuing with these workouts for a while, though I think the Phase 1 workouts may not be challenging enough by the time these last two phases are said and done. We’ll see how things go. We should be seeing Tai Cheng soon so I would like to throw in regular Tai Chi for additional balance and body alignment. Les Mills Pump is always an option too, and who knows what else Beachbody will have in store for us this year!
Bring it!!!
